SHC takes notice of minor girl killed after rap in Larkana

KARACHI May 2 (TNS): Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh on Wednesday took notice of the minor girl allegedly murdered after rape in Larkana.

Following the media reports the chief judge took the notice of the case and summoned Deputy Inspector General Larkana Ferozuddin Siddiqui and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Larkana Tanveer Hussain Tunio to appear before the court on May 7.

The sexually assaulted body of the minor girl was found from a sewage drain near Dodai Road in Larkana district on April 25.

Later the police identified the girl as Saima and police suspected that girl was killed after being raped.

While, the police have claimed earlier, that they have arrested two suspects including the prime suspect of the case.

One of the arrested suspects has confessed to his crime, police said.

According to Saima’s family, she had left her house on April 24 to buy sweets for herself but she never returned. While the next day, her body was recovered from the drain.

Her father claimed that the body was moved to Chandka Medical Hospital but the post-mortem was conducted six hours later due to non-availability of the doctors.
