Punjab police put on high alert in the wake of Attock attack

LAHORE, May 04 (TNS): Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Capt Arif Nawaz Khan Thursday directed the police officers to put the security of the province on high alert following the suicide attack on an official vehicle in Attock.

He also directed the officers to increase security of sensitive places, educational institutions, worship places and markets. He also ordered to boost up search, combing and intelligence based operations, says a handout issued here on Thursday.

IGP said that police personnel and officers deployed at sensitive places should strictly follow the devised SOPs with respect to safety measures.
