Ireland reveals their squad for Historic Test against Pakistan

Dublin, May 4 (TNS): Ireland cricket team announced their 14 member test squad on Friday for the inaugural Test against Pakistan on May 11 which will be contested in Dublin.
The Squad will be led by the veteran skipper William Porterfield against the green shirts, who faced a tough time against Kent in the first warm-up game.

The Irish outfit includes the likes of Ed Joyce, Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, Niall O’Brien who are household names and are boasted by Gary Wilson, Stuart Thompson, Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin, Andre Balbirnie, Andy McBrine, Tyrone Kane, Nathan Smith and James Shannon.

Notable Irish players who failed to make a place in the final squad include batsman Jack Tector, all-rounder Simi Singh and pacer Barry McCarthy.
Pakistan will play a two-Test series against England at Lord’s from May 24 to 28 and Headingley from June 1 to 5, after the lone test against the Irish in Dublin.
