Rawalpindi, May 5 (TNS): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday confirmed the death sentence for the terrorists involved in attacks on civilians as well as law enforcing agencies, ISPR said.
The army chief confirmed capital punishment for 11 “hardcore terrorists” and life imprisonment to three others.
Arms and explosives were also recovered from their possession. These convicts were tried by special military courts.

The convicts were involved in heinous offences related to terrorism, resulting in the death of at least 60 people including 24 laws enforcing agencies officials and injuring 142 people, according to ISPR.
Members of a proscribed organization were also convicted in the Murder of a Member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Imran Khan. The terrorists were found involved in the Demolition of education institutions including Malakand university attack.
The convicted terrorists were identified as Umer Zaib, Saleem, Izzat Khan, Muhammad Imran, Yousuf Khan, Nadir Khan, Muhammad Aarib Ullah, Burhan Uddin, Arif Ullah and Bakht Muhammad.

All the convicted terrorists have confessed before the judicial magistrate of a trial court while Army courts had sentenced them the capital punishment.
