Lahore, May 6 (TNS): Operation of Federal Interior Minister Prof Ahsan Iqbal has been concluded successfully at Services Hospital here on Sunday night.
Medics say the condition of Ahsan Iqbal was stabled after a successful surgsay as bullet was removed from minister’s body.
Iqbal was shifted to the Services Hospital here for surgical treatment from Narowal.
The minister was brought here through a helicopter.
Iqbal was injured in an attack during a Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz political rally in Narowal.
An unknown assailant opened fire on the PML-N leader on Sunday, from a distance of 15-20 yards, when he was heading towards his car, after the rally.
The attacker possessed a 30-bore pistol, with which he attacked the interior minister.
