Soaring heatwave forces Sindh govt to reschedule summer vacation

KARACHI, May 7 (TNS): The Sindh government on Monday announced early summer vacations for public and private schools across the province.

According to notification issued by the Education Department, the summer vacations have been rescheduled.

Now schools will be remained close from May 14 to July 16  due to soaring temperatures and the holy month of Ramzan.

“All the educational institutions shall be opened on July 17,” read a notification.

The notification comes on the heels of a summary submitted to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah by the Sindh education department on Sunday seeking early summer vacations.
