Riyadh May 8 (TNS): Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, on Tuesday, has strongly condemned grave human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

In a statement, the Commission was appalled by the unrelenting streak of violence perpetrated by Indian security forces against innocent Kashmiris, Radio Pakistan quoted.

It said in total disregard of human rights obligations and respect for well-established international human rights norms, Indian forces continue to use brute force against Kashmiri civilians on different pretexts.

The Commission appealed to the international community, in particular, the OIC Member States to impress India to put an immediate end to the continuing human rights violations.

It welcomed call of the OIC Foreign Ministers during their Dhaka meeting for resolving the dispute through dialogue in accordance with the relevant United Nation Security Council resolutions.
