Additional director NAB held over thieving documents of important case

Islamabad May 9 (TNS): An additional director of National Accountability Bureau has been apprehended over an alleged attempt to steal original documents of a high profile case from NAB headquarters Islamabad.

TNS learnt through reliable sources that Additional director NAB Faheem Quereshi has been arrested red-handed when he was trying to steal the said documents. A security guard, Abid Hussain intercepted him for being suspicious and called the vigilance wing of NAB which recovered the documents from his possession during the search.

The NAB chief Justice Javed Iqbal lauded the guard on his honesty and bravery. Chairman also presented him appreciation certificates and cash prize 10000. NAB chief while giving the prizes vowed to take stern action against the black-sheeps within the NAB.

TNS learnt that the NAB officials are allegedly involved in the thieving of important documents and selling them out. After the incident, NAB has decided to keep all important documents in a secret security cell.

In the meanwhile assistant director, NAB Mubashir Karim along with five to six men busted into an office of a private housing society and taken-away their records.  The victims have appealed from the chairman NAB to take action against the corrupt officers who are misusing the name of the Bureau.
