Tehran May 9 (TNS): Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei trolled American president Donald Trump and said ‘Trump had threatened the Islamic Establishment and Iranian people to abandon the deal and he did but on behalf of the people of Iran I say, Trump, you are talking nonsense!’
According to IRNA, Addressing a meeting with the Iranian teachers and academics held on the occasion of Teacher’s Week on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei said ‘We have insisted that the issue between Iran and US is not a nuclear one, but there were parties saying ‘No, this is not the case,’ he said.
Now you can see; we accepted the JCPOA, but the entities are still in place,’ the Leader said, referring to the Iran nuclear deal, known also as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
‘Now, they are focusing on the missile program and Iran’s presence in the region; if we give in to their requests, they will raise another issue,’ Ayatollah Khamenei said.
‘The reason behind US opposition against the establishment in Iran is that they want to maintain an absolute domination over the country,’ he said.
‘But the Islamic Revolution has cut their hands,’ he added.

In the meanwhile, in response to the decision, the IRGC commander said the US decision proved that their major question is Iran’s defence and missile capabilities and also its influential role in the region.
US President Donald Trump announced his decision about the Iran Deal on May 8 and withdrew his country unilaterally from the international agreement. Many world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union are against Trump’s decision.
