Murree, May 12 (TNS): The Dolphin Force units have been deployed in the mountain resort town of Murree on Saturday after the viral reports suggested alleged harassment of tourists who come to the area for recreational purposes.
The local administration has taken immediate action to the matter, the Dolphin Force personnel have been deployed at every popular spot of recreation in the area for the safety of the tourists
The local police officials confirmed that the dolphin force will remain alert at the nearest police station for action on any registered complaint
The #BoycottMurree campaign went viral on social media which dragged attention of the administration towards the matter. The campaigners has revealed many incidents of harassment at the hands of local guides and restaurant owners in Murree.
The campaign was launched after a few angered tourists complaint regarding the increasing harassment incidents in the last few months. The tourists called for immediate action and reported that agents and local guides had harassed and behaved inappropriately against them and their families.
However, the local authorities did not take immediate action against the culprits at that time.
