KOHAT, May 13 (TNS): At least 80 outlaws including proclaimed offenders (POs) have been arrested with ha uge cache of arms and drugs recovered during search and strike operations in different areas of Kohat on Sunday.
Following the directives of DPO Abbasi Majeed Khan Marwat, the police team belonging to various police stations and under the supervision of DSP Rou Khan Zeb conducted operations in Ghour Zindi, Soudal, Tarwabera, Dolai Banda, Mohsin Khel, Shakar Dara, Nandraka, Rehman Road and Kala Bagha Road areas of the district.
The Elite Force also participated in the intelligence based operations (IBOs) during which it conducted raids and conducted targeted operations. Three POs, accused of murder, attempt murder, kidnapped and other crimes among 80 outlaws were arrested during the targeted operations.
The police recovered two Kalashnikovs, three repeaters, five guns, four rifles, 14 pistols of different bores, over 6000 rounds, 30 chargers, 2.5 kilogram hashish and four motorcycles from the possession of the detainees.
The police confiscated the recovered weapons, drugs and bikes and the detainees were being interrogated after registering separate cases against them at concerned police stations.
