Three, including two women killed in various parts of Attock

ATTOCK, May 15 (TNS): Three persons including two women were shot dead in three different incidents in various parts of district Attock on Monday, police said. According to police sources, a former husband killed his former wife for contracting second marriage.

He said that Mobeen Khan divorced his wife Imtiaz Bibi in 2009 over some family dispute. She was running a canteen in a private school to support her kids. As she contacted second marriage few days ago, Mr Khan out of rage and shot her when she was returning home after work, he added.

In second incident a cattle handler was shot dead and his body was thrown in his farm house in Hattar area. Police sources said that Khalid Mehmood was found dead in his cattle farm in a blind murder case.

In third incident, a woman was shot dead apparently in a highway robbery incident on GT road in Hassanabdal. According to details,Mubashir Khan, a resident of Buner KP, was leaving the hotel with his wife after staying, two armed men riding on a motorcycle intercepted them and tried to stop them on gun point, as he resisted to stop, they opened fire at them, resultantly his wife Nasreen Bibi received bullet at her forehead and died on the spot.

Police registered separate murder cases and handed over the bodies to the heirs after autopsy, he said
