Neymar In, as Brazil announce 23-man world cup squad

Rio De Janeiro, May 15 (TNS):  Star winger Neymar Jr. was named in the world cup squad for Brazil on Tuesday after Brazil coach Tite announced the squad in a press conference in Rio de Janiero.

There were not many surprises in the squad which the Brazilian coach announced, along with a recovering Neymar, Dani Alves who was ruled out of the world cup after suffering a knee injury in the French Cup final was replaced by Manchester City’s right-back Danilo.

A back-up for the Manchester city right back was also named in the squad, as Corinthians right back Fagner completed Tite’s 23 man squad.

Fagner is also suffering from an injury himself but Team Doctor Rodrigo Lasmar has declared the right back fit to play in the most prestigious football competition in the world.

Brazil will begin their World Cup campaign against Switzerland on 17th June in Russia and will seek to bag their sixth world cup title.

After thrashing South American sides like Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, the 5 time world champions are now tipped favourites to win the world cup.
