One Indian soldier killed in retaliatory fire by Pakistani troops: claim Indian reports

New Delhi, May 18 (TNS): An Indian soldier killed and many other injured in retaliatory fire by Pakistani soldiers along the highly militarised frontier in Indian-aoccupied Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Friday.

A woman and three kids were martyred on Pakistani side of Working Boundary by cross-border firing and shelling.

In retaliate fire dozens Indian posts in the Jammu region of the Himalayan territory were targeted by Pakistan Rangers, said Indian police officer S D Singh.

Pakistan paramilitary officials said their soldiers responded to Indian gunfire and shelling, describing it as “unprovoked and indiscriminate.”

On other hand, Indian officials said the BSF soldier was killed by Pakistani troops.

Indian media also claimed that husband and wife were also killed on the Indian side.

At least seven injured were also being treated in hospitals, media reports added.
