Islamabad, May 21 (TNS): In light of the Supreme Court’s verdict, Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (R) Javed Iqbal on Monday directed anti-graft watchdog’s concerned Director Generals to compete graft inquiry against Bahria Town in three months.
After directions of Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, the Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau, the prime anti-graft body has kicked off its investigation against alleged mega corruption in Bahria Town Karachi, Bahria Town Lahore and Bahria Town Rawalpindi, says a press release issued by the NAB.
The Chairman NAB directed the relevant Director Generals of NAB to logically conclude the inquiry against Bahria Town in accordance with law in three months timeframe given by the apex court.
He said no negligence in this regard would be tolerated.
The chairman also ordered DG NAB Rawalpindi to start immediate inquiry against Federal Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durani for allegedly abusing his powers in recruitments.
