Flight carrying Sabika’s body delayed due to bad weather

KARACHI May 22 (TNS): The flight carrying the body of Pakistani girl Sabika Sheikh, who was among the 10 children, who were killed in Texas’s Santa Fe High School shooting, has been delayed due to bad weather.
The plane is now likely to reach Karachi Airport at 4 am on Wednesday.

According to the kin of the victim, the funeral of Sabika will be held in Hakeem Saeed Ground after which she will be buried in Azeempura Graveyard but the relatives have not confirmed the time of the funeral.
Earlier, Brand Lane Islamic Center in Houston on Sunday had offered funeral prayers of Sabika Sheikh.
A large number of members of Pakistani community, Pakistan Council General Aisha Farooqi, Mayor Houston and members of US Congress attended the funeral.
The Santa Fe shooting has unleashed an outpouring of sympathy and horror over the tragic murder of Sheikh, who had been in the US for 10 months and was just weeks away from coming home.
She had been due to return to Karachi in time for Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, in which families come together and celebrate with days of feasting.
