Islamabad, May 22 (TNS): Supreme Court on Tuesday maintained the decision of disqualification by Election Commission of Pakistan against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker Shaukat Aziz Bhatti.

The hearing was led by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, who announced the decision, reserved earlier by the three-member bench.

Earlier, ECP had disqualified Shaukat Aziz Bhatti in the case of fake degrees.

Major Iftikhar Gillani challenged the qualification of Shaukat Aziz Bhatti in the ECP, who later disqualified him last year.

The PML-N lawmaker was elected from the constituency of Gujjar Khan in the 2013 general elections as a member of Provincial Assembly on the ticket of PML-N.
