Bahawalnagar, May 24 (TNS): A man in Bahawalnagar, reportedly killed his own daughter to trap his neighbor and put the blame of murder on him, in order to marry his neighbor’s niece.
Police told, that Ashraf who was the father of a seven year old daughter wanted to marry for the second time with the niece of his neighbor Maqsood.
Maqsood, however refused straight away to give his niece’s hand in marriage to him, in result of which Ashraf used his own daughter to trap his neighbor in murder case and marry the niece of his neighbour.
According to police, Ashraf sent his wife to the market on May 19, so he can commit the crime in her absence while distracting her. He took his daughter to his neighbour’s residence and killed her with a knife-esque object.
Ashraf, than ran off to the streets and started screaming, accusing Maqsood and his son for the murder of the minor.
He filed an FIR against Maqsood and his son, which stated that they were allegedly involved in the murder of the infant and boundary wall dispute was the cause of it.
The Police than arrested Ashraf, as they felt during investigation that he was also a suspect due to his presence on the crime scene.
Ashraf later confessed that he asked Maqsood for his niece’s hand for marriage, but his refusal, caused him to take this step, so he gets to marry his niece as compensation of the murder.
