PESHAWAR, May 27 (TNS): Amid clashes between JUI-F workers and police, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly passed the historic Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) reforms bill with two-thirds majority on Sunday.
Provincial Minister Imtiaz Qureshi tabled the bill before the House.
92 members of the 124-seat provincial assembly voted in favour of the bill.
The bill required 83 votes to secure a two-thirds majority.
Earlier in the day, JUI-F workers ambushed the KP assembly and clashed with police which resulted injuries to several people.
The National Assembly and the Senate have already passed the bill.
