Karachi, May 29 (TNS): People of Karachi should prevent themselves from another heat wave from Tuesday, which will remain in the city for three days as temperatures rise above 40°C.

The maximum temperature may soar up to 43°C today, and it will continue around 41-44°C during the next two days, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned.

The latest outburst of the heat is attributed to a halt in the sea breeze, which is likely to remain cut off till Thursday.

Earlier this month Karachi has faced an extended heat wave when the temperature touched 44°C for four to five days.
