PESHAWAR, May 31 (TNS): Parliamentary Secretary Health and member Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly Barkhat Jamil said on Thursday the government was committed to providing all basic facilities of life to masses in the area.

Addressing a press conference, he said the government had framed prudent economic and social policies and its blessing had started trickling down to the grass-roots level.

He said about 66 development projects were underway in the area including Rattu and Perishing power projects and those would be completed within scheduled timeframe.

He said the government was also focusing on the promotion of tourism activities in the area.

The city was facing different problems including poverty, unemployment besides issues in health and education sectors, adding all these problems would be resolved in shortest possible time.
