GUJRANWALA, June 04 (TNS): Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials have been caught on a CCTV camera by committing heinous crime of extra judicial torture and extortion.
In the footage which has gone viral on social media, six armed personnel of self-claimed prestigious investigating agency, four in civvies, can be seen barging like dacoits into a drug store situated on Kachehri road and instantly beating store owner before compelling him to sign a check and withdraw money for them.
The store owner namely Shahnawaz, a BUMS Doctor, later on has said that he was meted out such a treatment on the pretext of possessing prohibited sex enhancing drugs.
FIA officials straightaway demanded hefty sum of money after they handcuffed and thrown him into the police vehicle.
“They demanded money but I wasn’t having the amount of cash to meet their demand” said the dejected store owner and added that he then was compelled to sign a check of RS 175000 and withdraw it from a nearby bank.
Some of the erring cops have been identified as Saleem Bajwa, Raheel and Azeem.
