Peshawar, June 6 (TNS): Justice (Retd) Dost Muhammad Khan took oath as Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar on Wednesday.
Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra administered the oath, state media reported.
The oath taking ceremony was also attended by former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak.
After failure of consensus between PTI-led government and opposition party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday  choses Justice (retd) Dost Muhammad Khan as caretaker KP chief minister.
The matter was earlier forwarded to the electoral body after the parliamentary committee constituted to nominate the caretaker chief minister was unable to finalise a candidate for the post.
