Islamabad, June 11(TNS): It is the last day for filing of nomination papers for the upcoming general election, as Election Commission of Pakistan will issue the preliminary list of candidates on Monday.

Candidates of reserved seats of women and non-Muslims can also file their nomination papers by Monday.
To facilitate the aspiring candidates to file their nomination papers, offices of Election Commission as well as District Returning Officers and Returning Officers will remain open till June 11.
According to the revised election schedule issued by ECP, Scrutiny process of nomination papers will continue till 19th while appeals against rejection or acceptance of papers can be filed by 22nd of this month.
Tribunals will decide about the appeals by 27th, after which the revised list of candidates will be published on June 28.
Candidates can withdraw their papers by June 29, after which the final list of candidates will be published the same day.
Contesting candidates will be allotted Election symbols on June 30, as the polling for general elections will be held on July 25.
