Karachi, June 12 (TNS): Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan’s nomination papers have been challenged in NA-243 Karachi on Tuesday. Khan has submitted nomination papers in four constituencies of National Assembly including Karachi, Islamabad, Mianwali, and Peshawar.
Khan who filed his nomination papers in Karachi NA-243 will be facing scrutiny after an appeal was filed regarding the Sita White Case to the returning officer.
The PTI chairman’s nomination papers were postponed for scrutinized till June 19 which will be the last date of scrutiny of nomination papers.
The verdict on the appeals filed earlier will be announced on 27 and revised list of election candidates will be issued on June 28.
The electoral body will announce the final list of candidates on June 29 by which time Candidates are allowed to withdraw their nomination papers.
The electoral symbols will be issued to candidates on June 30.
