Edinburgh, June 13 (TNS): Pakistan will face Scotland in the second T-20 International on Wednesday, as the hosts look to bounce back from a 1-0 deficit in the series at Edinburgh.
The green shirts will look to clean sweep the series and maintain their No.1 ranking in the shortest format of the game.
On Sunday both teams clashed in Edinburgh to play the first T-20I of the two-match series in which Pakistan thrashed Scotland by 48 runs.
Pakistan elected to bat first and posted a humungous total for the Scottish outfit courtesy a brilliant captain’s knock from Sarfraz Ahmed of 89* the best score in his T-20I career.
Shoaib Malik provided the impetus to the total as he maneuvered the ball brilliantly in his knock of 53.
In reply, Scotland started brightly in the powerplay and the opening partnership boasted a half-century stand.
But strikes from Hassan Ali and young star Shadab Khan made Scotland become lackluster and they fell short of the total.
Skipper Sarfraz was named Man of the Match for his blistering knock which took Scotland out of the game.
The second T-20 will be played tonight at 8.00 pm PST.
