Islamabad, June 19 (TNS): Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf held a reception in the honor of the recently winning 6 Don Black Belt Certificate in So Koi Ka Shin from Japan Shiyan Raja Khalid at his residence in Islamabad.
The reception was also attended by people from different walk of live including officials of the Pakistan So Koi Ka Shin Federation, and sports officials.
Former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf while lauded Raj Khalid for winning the certificate from Japan of being the first Pakistani. He congratulated Raja Khalid for his dedication, commitment and hard work. He proved himself as the most deserving of winning a certificate of 6 Don Black Belt in So Koi Shin, a Japanese form of Martial Arts.
He said the awarding the certificate to Shiyan Raja Khalid by the World So Koi Shin in Japan was done only on merit and it is a big honor for the country as well that he is the first Pakistani of winning that credential.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said that all the process for winning the certificates has actually completed on merits only and with the sheer commitment of Shiyan Raja Khalid which is also an honor for the people of Potohar.
He said very soon a reception would be organized in his honor and on behalf of the people of Potohara golden crown would presented to Raja Khalid of winning such a big achievement in the field of world sports.
Recalling his time of govt, Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the Pakistan People Party had always given due importance to sports and Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad was actually a gift given by prominent leader Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, showing the love toward promotion of sports.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said that if coming to power they would take more measures for the promotion of sports and development of sports infrastructure in all across the country. He again congratulated Shiyan Raja Khalid for achieving name and fame for the country at international level. He said over the years Pakistani players have been showing tremendous performances at national and international levels and Pakistan has great name in the world of sports.
He expressed the hope that like Raja Khalid more youth would come up at national and international levels in other games as well provided good facilities to the players besides development the existing facilities to international standard.
