Chairman NAB reiterates to recover money plundered by illegal housing societies

ISLAMABAD, June 21 (TNS): Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (R) javed Iqbal has reiterated his resolve to recover the money of masses plundered by private and Co-operative Housing Societies.

During a meeting at NAB headquarters here on Thursday, aimed at to review the performance of NABS’s operation division, the Chairman has said that Anti-graft watchdog has recovered Rs22 million from such societies during last seven months which is reflective of the fact that NAB instead of faces does focus on cases on merit and is continuously engaged to deal with corrupt elements with iron hands.

The chairman has said that RDA, CDA and CTI had been directed to provide complete details of illegal co-operative housing societies operating in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and to publish notices of caution in leading newspapers and information about these scam societies be uploaded on concerned websites besides taking legal actions against them.

Chairman NAB has also has also taken notice of CDA’s action of approving the design of park view enclave housing society, owned by PTI leader Aleem khan, asking CDA how did it give a node to the design of said society that stood already cancelled under the rules.
