Khairpur, June 27(TNS): In a police encounter on Wednesday, a suspected robber was shot dead in an old Sabzi Mandi area of Khairpur.
The incident took place in the wee hours of the day, in the old Sabzi Mandi area when the two suspected robbers opened fire on the police, in wake of cross firing between the two sides, a robber Sheraz (20) was killed while his partner in crime was apprehended by the police.
The dead body of the suspect and the injured accomplice were brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem formalities and treatment, respectively.
