Massive bureaucratic reshuffle in Punjab

LAHORE, June 30 (TNS): Massive bureaucratic reshuffle has taken place in Punjab that the province hasn’t probably witnessed in its history.
According to the notification issued by Services & General Administration Department under interim Gov’t of the province on Saturday as many as 200 officers of BS-17 has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioners across the province.
Earlier in the day 267 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSPs) were notified to be transferred across the province.
Such a massive reshuffle in civil and police bureaucracy has taken place in the wake of the nod given by of Election Commission of Pakistan on June 21 which is termed to be aimed at ensuring a greater degree of transparency in the upcoming general elections in the country.
