SHO sustains minor injuries as unknown gunmen target police party in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi, July 4(TNS): Four suspected miscreants, riding on car, opened fire on the police party near Waris Khan Police Station at Tipu Road here on Wednesday.
Recently appointed Senior House Officer (SHO) Waris Khan Arham, however, sustained minor injury as the bullet crossed his body.

According to the Police, four people were present in the car with ammunition, who opened fire as the Rawalpindi police tried to stop them near Sir Syed Chowk.
They police in reply targeted the tyres of XLI car carrying Registration number-299 Islamabad.
The car crashed into the centre of the deviator and the police apprehended the main culprit Naeem Arif alias Gaddu and his three accomplices.
The four accused were shifted to Waris Khan Police Station along with their arms and the car been confiscated, the police sources confirmed.
