Islamabad, July 11 (TNS): The employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will contribute in the fund for the construction of “Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dam 2018”.

According to a statement issued by the FO, all officers of the Ministry will contribute their three days pay whereas all staff members one day pay in this fund.

This humble contribution is an effort to contribute towards a national cause.

Under the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s initiative of donating funds for the construction of two dams for combating water crisis in the country, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) appears confident of collecting more than the required funds from the entire nation.

The central bank along with high officials of commercial and microfinance banks in a conference on Tuesday announced that accounts dedicated to collecting donations for the Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dam are now operational across the world at the respective bank branches to collect funds from overseas Pakistanis as well.

The armed forces on Monday announced that officers and men will contribute to the fund earmarked for the construction of Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand dams, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a post on social media.

Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said officers of the Army, Navy and Air Force will donate two days pay for the cause while soldiers will pitch in with a day’s salary.
