LONDON, July 13(TNS): ex-PM and supremo of PML-N Nawaz Sharif has said that no one would have returned in the circumstances they were returning, adding that they were returning because of Pakistan and its people.
Talking to media in London, on the departure from London to Lahore Nawaz Sharif has said that Maryam Nawaz could have stayed in London but she is also leaving her ailing mother who is fighting for her life. He expressed his belief that the nation would support them.
Sharif went on to say that he is not afraid of any punishment, adding that the history will prove Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz had done nothing wrong.
Speaking about his wife, the PML-N supremo said that his wife Begum Kulsoomn Nawaz opened her eyes after one month but wasn’t identifying them.
