Massive corruption rife in BISP
Islamabad, July 17 (TNS): Massive corruption worth billions have been rife in Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).
Many higher ups of BISP are involved in massive corruption and pushed the organization at the verge of destruction while their progress remain only in files and at the website. BISP was established under the government of Pakistan People’s Party (BISP) to provide employment, education and to empower women in underprivileged areas but it did not achieve its goals.
A source told TNS that after the appointment of Marvi Memon as Chairperson corruption and misappropriation in the organization has been reached at the peak. The source further said that employees of BISP have been deprived from their basic rights and not given service structure since 11 years. Despite the zero performance of deputation officers, not action taken against them neither transferred to their own organization while some of them holding two positions at the same time, the source added.
Source said the BISP Chairperson’s father Nisar Memon has involved in the deployment of the deputation officers to the organization who had taken bribe from them. He has brought deputation officers from Sindh Province, source said.
Source said BISP has been become a political program and given benefits to a political party deliberately. Irregularities have been also surfaced in the procurement of items including solar system, generators, UPS etc provided by donors for backward areas while other items including two generators have been stolen from the office.

After the allegations TNS has tried to contact Secretary BISP Umar Hammed but he did not respond.
