DSPs in Karachi face dismissal, forced retirement, multiple punishments

KARACHI, July 20 (TNS): Twenty-one Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) of Sindh Police on Friday have faced dismissal, forced retirement, multiple punishments charges.

The police officials appeared before Inspector General of Police (IGP-Sindh) Amjad Javed Saleemi for the hearing of different charges at the Orderly Room (OR) of Central Police Office.

The IGP Sindh investigated each of them individually, said a statement.  Following the inquiry reports, he ordered forced retirement of two DSPs of Rapid Response Force (RRF) Malik Mubarak and Abdul Rehman while DSP of Anti Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) Raja Amjad was sacked from his job.

Amjad Javed Saleemi reprehended two DSPs of Razaqabad Training School Tariq Imran and Azam Hayat Khan and ordered reduction of one year service period of DSP M. Anwar Durrani.  He ordered further inquiry against 11 other DSPs while four DSPs were not found to be guilty. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGPs) Headquarters and Establishment were also present on the occasion.
