Dera Ismail Khan, July 22 (TNS): Three candidates of different political parties have been killed in bloody campaign so far as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Ikramullah Khan Gandapur, who sustained serious wounds in Sunday suicide attack, succumbed to his injuries.
“Gandapur martyred in a suicide attack targeting the PK-99 candidate’s convoy on the outskirts of Dera Ismail Khan”, says Deputy Commissioner Nauman Afzal Afridi.
Officials said that suicide bomber targeted Gandapur’s vehicle in DI Khan’s Kalachi Tehsil.
Gandapur driver also killed while Ikramullah’s guards have also been injured in the attack, they said.
The injured have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital for treatment, officials added.
Injured Gandapur was shifted to the Combined Military Hospital’s operation theatre for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
