NACTA, SECP ink MoU to curb terror financing

Islamabad, July 24 (TNS): In a major development, National Counter Terrorism Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday signed a MoU to curb terrorist financing.

This agreement signed after a month when International watchdog put Pakistan in grey list for terror financing.

The MOU was signed by NACTA Chief Dr Suleman and Chairman SECP Shaukat Hussain in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Suleman said the cooperation between NACTA and the SECP is of great importance in the backdrop of international scenario.

He said both the organizations will work together to build the capacity of law enforcement agencies. He said awareness will also be created against money laundering and terrorist financing.
