Khushab, July 25 (TNS): Amid Pakistan’s 11th general elections, women in Khushab on Wednesday have made history by casting vote for the first time in their village in 70 years.
Ghak Kallan is a small village in Khushab district which resides in central Punjab, where women have not used their right to vote in last 70 years until they changed a longstanding tradition today.
Election Commission hopes that turnout is more productive than 2013 general elections which boasted 55% and a women creating history in Khushab will boost their hopes.
