Islamabad,July 25 (TNS): Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’ Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed wrote a letter to Chief Election Commissioner on Wednesday to extend the time of polling from 6pm to 7pm.
In the letter the PML-N senator has pointed out the problems voters are facing during polling which includes the extensive lines of voters and the slow paced process of polling.
Senator Mushahid Hussain has requested ECP to extend polling time due to these factors and has indicated that section 70 of 2017 Election Act gives authority to the election commission to extend polling time.
Mushahid Hussain wrote in the letter that no voter should be deprived of the right to vote.
