Islamabad, July 26 (TNS): Amid rumors and foul crying by political parties, ECP Secretary Babar Yaqub says the delay in announcement of election results by the Commission is not any conspiracy.
Speaking with media tonight (Thursday), he said no one has influenced the results.
Babar Yaqub said the delay has been caused by load of “Result Transmission System” which could not withstand the pressure. However, the fault has been fixed and results will start coming soon.
ECP Secretary said results are also being dispatched to Returning Officers under the supervision of the forces.
He said ECP has not announced any result so far, but we are also not saying that the results being given by the media are incorrect.
To a question, Secretary Babar Yaqub said ECP is reviewing the reservations expressed by various political leaders on the election.
