Islamabad, July 26 (TNS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith has congratulated him on his historic victory on Thursday.
Jemima took to Twitter and wrote that after 22 years of struggle, overcoming countless obstacles and a lot of sacrifices the father of my children has finally been elected Prime Minister.
Imran’s self-belief and never say die attitude has resulted in today’s historic victory it should be remembered why Imran entered into politics.
Jemima further wrote that she still remembers the 1997 elections in which Imran Khan was a newbie in the field of politics but he had a dream and ideology which has lead to this day.
It should be noted that after the end of polls at 6pm on Wednesday the counting of ballot papers began and unofficial results were revealed by various media channels.
So far PTI is leading the race for elections, with 120 National Assembly seats, whereas PML-N has secured around 60 seats out of 272 National Assembly seats.
