Jahangir Tareen to visit Karachi to pursue MQM-P for govt. alliance

Islamabad, July 28 (TNS): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jehangir Tareen on Saturday will meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leadership in Karachi.

“Tareen will formally invite MQM-P to join PTI’s coalition government,”  sources said.

Earlier on Friday, Tareen, in a telephonic conversation, asked MQM-P convenor Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui to join their incoming government.

Siddiqui, however, said that the decision regarding the same would be taken by the Rabita Committee.

Though the results of Wednesday’s general elections are not officially declared yet, but PTI has started preparations for government formation as it won a majority of seats in the National Assembly (NA).

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released results of 268 out of 270 National Assembly constituencies.
