PTI Candidate Shah Farman suffers defeat in PK-70 after recounting

PESHAWAR, August 2 (TNS): In the initial findings, of re-counting process the PTI Candidate Shah Farman who won earlier,  lost the election after recounting of votes in PK-70 on Thursday, the Awami National Party’s (ANP) Khushdil Khan  was declared the winner after recounting.

According to reports, Shah Farman had won the general elections in the constituency by a margin of 74 votes.

Although after recounting Khushdil Khan emerged victorious while he defeated PTI candidate by 187 votes.

ANP now has 7 seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly after the result changed in PK-70 today.

In the recounting process in the constituency continued for six days after which Khushdil Khan won the election,.

Elsewhere in NA-108 PML-N leader and former Home Minister, Abid Sher Ali’s re-counting petition was rejected by RO officer.
