Islamabad, Aug. 3 (TNS): Putting all norms and rules aside, a NAB team illegally raided house of Mazhar Husain newly elected Secretary of Ministry of Commerce Employees Cooperative Housing Society (MOCECHS).
According to details, with armed men, Assistant Director NAB, Mubashir Karim stormed into house of Secretary Ministry of Commerce Employees Cooperative Housing Society without any search warrant.
The armed-men, accompanied by NAB team, were moving in nearby streets with heavy weapons which caused panic situation in the neighborhood of Mazhar Hussain.
It is important to mention here that long-term dispute between NAB and the management of the Ministry of Commerce Employees Cooperative Housing Society is talk of the town.
Ministry of Commerce Employees Cooperative Housing Society claims that some NAB officials wanted to occupy the housing society and the management had submitted several applications to NAB chairman Javed Iqbal and requested him to look into the matter.
Chairman NAB has also been informed by MOCECHS management that former DG HR NAB Malik Shakil and former DG Rawalpindi NAB Nasir Iqbal Mirza, who are described as relatives of Fawad Hassan Fawad, former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, wanted to occupy Housing Society. They filed a fabricated reference in NAB.
In that reference, all newly elected representatives of the society had been released on bail, after which another new inquiry was approved, which was also based on prejudice and revenge.
After tireless efforts of Chairman Welfare Committee Chaudhry Arshad raised voice to protect the rights of thousands of members of society, on which Chairman NAB formed a committee in which former DG HR NAB Malik Shakil and former DG Rawalpindi NAB Nasir Iqbal Mirza were found guilty and both officials were removed from their slots.
These corrupt officials, with nexus of a leader of land mafia and influence in NAB, initiated an inquiry aiming to occupy the Housing Society and to teach lesson to Mazhar Hussain and other newly elected management of MOCECHS.
Chairman Welfare Committee Chaudhry Arshad and MOCECHS delegation met with Chairman NAB and DG NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Mangi who assured them action against corrupt-elements within ranks of anti-graft watchdog.
But despite all assurances, the Chairman NAB has put the matter of these corrupt officials in the cold storage which is big question mark over NAB’s motto “Accountability for All”.
During the reference, Assistant Director NAB Mubashir Karim and Director NAB Rizwan have been constantly in touch with former DG HR Malik Shakil and former DG Rawalpindi Nasir Iqbal Mirza.
On the instructions of Malik Shakil and Nasir Iqbal Mirza, Assistant Director Mubashir Karim and Director NAB Rizwan with nexus of leader of land mafia and his sister plotted the plan to involve new elected members of MOCECHS with the fabricated charges of corruption.

Assistant Director NAB Mubashir Karim with his team and armed-men stormed into the house of secretary MOCECHS Mazhar Hussain without any search warrant.
According to Mazhar Hussain’s brother, NAB team harassed the family with weapons and snatched their mobiles, however, mobile phones were returned to Hussain’s family.
This NAB team had also conducted illegal raid on house of President of Ministry of Commerce Employees Cooperative Housing Society Rana Ghulam Farid and snatched Registration books of two vehicles, laptop, UBS and CPU which contained private photos of daughter of Rana Ghulam Farid and her friends and other personal data.
Meanwhile, Chaudhry Ahtasham ul Haq, senior lawyer of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, reached the spot, and also informed media about the situation.
On arrival of media persons, Mubashir Karim and other NAB personnel threatened the media team and snatched the cameras from them and when lawyer and media persons asked about search warrant, Assistant Director NAB Mubashir Karim and his team escaped from the scene.
President All Pakistan Newspapers & Editors Forum (APNEF) Chaudhry Shahzad Akhtar condemned the misbehave of NAB team with media persons.
President APNEF, while denouncing the incident, said that this episode exposed the credibility of anti-graft watchdog.
Chaudhry Shahzad Akhtar said that chairman NAB would be informed about the incident and warned to issue country-wide protests call.
Human Rights watchdog PIYASS-International also denounced the incident and demanded the Chairman NAB to probe into the matter and bring the culprits to book.
TNS has communicated with NAB spokesman to know their viewpoint over the issue.
“I have forward the query to concerned Regional Bureau. I will let u know as i received the reply of concerned query from regional bureau of NAB Rawalpindi in due course of time”, the spokesman told TNS.
