After school attacks, Civil Judge targeted in GB’s Diamer district

Gilgit, Aug. 5 (TNS): Days after a dozen girl schools were destroyed by the terrorists, a civil judge came under attack in Diamer area of Gilgit-Baltistan, the most scenic and peaceful northern region of Pakistan.

According to officials, unknown miscreants opened fire on vehicle of Civil Jugde Malik Anayat who was travelling with his family.

Fortunately the judge and his family remain unhurt in attack.

Earlier, nine suspected militants involved in torching schools in Diamer district were taken into custody by local police on Saturday.

During the operation in the Tangir area this morning, Arif Hussain, a police official, was killed in a shoot out with the culprits.

Two suspected militants were taken into custody from the house, sources say.
