Lahore, Aug. 10 (TNS): Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid rich tributes to Dr Ruth Pfau on her first death anniversary.
Shehbaz Sharif took to Twitter to pay homage to great humanitarian worker.
“Remembering Dr Ruth Pfau, an icon & role model, on her first death anniversary. What a life she lived in the service of suffering humanity! She left behind a legacy that is worthy of celebration, an all-important lesson that selfless service of the poor & dispossessed is what makes our life truly meaningful”, Shehbaz tweeted.
Ruth Pfau, a German doctor and nun who dedicated her life to eradicating leprosy in Pakistan and has been described as the country’s Mother Teresa, was remembered on her first death anniversary all across the world.
Dr Pfau, who was born in Leipzig in 1929 and saw her home destroyed by bombing during World War Two, had discovered her calling to help lepers coincidentally.
