Lahore, August 11 (TNS): Governor Punjab has convened the provincial assembly session on August 15.
Earlier Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Hassan Askari forwarded a summary to the Governor Punjab to convene the session on August 15.
According to media reports, Governor Punjab Rafiq Rajwana has summoned the session of the Provincial Assembly on August 15, in which newly elected members will be sworn in.
The session will commence from 10 am in the morning.
Caretaker provincial law minister Zia Rizvi said that only the newly elected members of provincial assembly will take oath on August 15, whereas the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected on August 16 through secret ballet of provincial assembly.
Following this the Punjab Chief Minister will be elected by the provincial assembly
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf claims to have the majority seats to form a government in Punjab, but Imran Khan has not finalized his Chief Minister yet, but former Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar has been once again nominated for the slot.
