Process of formation of new government to be kicked off from Monday

Islamabad, Aug. 11 (TNS): Process of formation of new government to be kicked off from next week as the president has summoned the session of National Assembly on Monday at ten in the morning.

Newly elected members of the National Assembly would take oath on the first day. The outgoing speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq would administer the oath of office to the members.

Election of the speaker and deputy speaker as well as leader of the house would also take place during the session beginning from Monday.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has nominated its Chairman Imran Khan for the slot of the leader of the house whilst the PML (N) President Shahbaz Sharif has been fielded as a joint candidate for the slot by the opposition.

PTI has nominated Asad Qaiser for the office of Speaker National Assembly whereas the opposition has nominated Khurshid Shah.

NA Secretariat made special arrangements for Preliminary Session.

National Assembly Secretariat has made special arrangements for the Preliminary Session of the 15th National Assembly starting on Monday.

According to a press release issued by National Assembly Secretariat today (Friday), a Control Room and Facilitation Centre has been set up in the Parliament House to assist and facilitate the newly elected Members of the National Assembly.

It said Control Room will remain open round the clock, while the facilitation centre will remain open from 9.00 a.m to 9.00 p.m.

Facilitation centre will provide services for collection of Bio-data of MNA elect, issuance of MNAs Folders, preparation of photo-graphs, collection of addresses and preparation of Identity Cards of newly elected Members of National Assembly.
