Nushki, August 14 (TNS): In a tragic incident on independence day , atleast 11 people sustained severe injuries as a blast took place in Balochistan’s Nushki near Masjid Road.
The Police sources said that, the explosive material was stationed in front of a shop and it was a roadside explosion.
According to reports, the rescue teams are shifting the injured to the hospital for medical assistance.
Security forces have also launched a search operation in the entire area. Balochistan has experienced incidents of violence and target killings for over a decade now.
The province has faced a number of security challenges in the recent months, with security personnel in the province often being targeted in roadside explosions and suicide attacks.
The area is part of a very significant route for the $57 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor of energy and infrastructure projects that China hopes to build as part of its “belt and road” initiative.
