New Delhi, Aug. 14 (TNS): Friend in need is a friend indeed, a class X boy from Indian state of Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district was determined to gift his friends unusual goodies so he dispensed Rs 46 lakhs of his father’s money among his school friends, Indian media reported on Tuesday.
A daily wager’s son got Rs 15 lakhs while a friend who had finished his homework was a recipient of Rs 3 lakhs, reported TOI.
The father who was bewildered by this incident, is a builder by profession. He had earned this money from the proceedings of a property sale worth Rs 60 lakhs.
The money which was kept in his cupboard, was later found missing, hence, he approached the police.
The police officials didn’t find any clue that would signal theft or robbery. After detailed investigation, it was revealed that the builder’s son hadn’t sent any of his friends empty handed.
A needy boy from the neighbourhood, classmates and friends had all received a lump sum share of the builder’s earnings. The needy boy is missing since he received the money. Reportedly, another recipient bought a new car with the prize money. 35 classmates in the boy’s school and coaching centre even got silver bracelets and smartphones, apart from cash.
